FADE IN:
INT. BEDROOM- NIGHT
Darkness, except the reflection of light that peeps in through from the side of the window not covered by the curtain; the reflection falls on the wall opposite the window, up to where the wall clock is hung. A wardrobe by the left side of the wall, the door by the right, family size bed at the center of the room; The time reads 12:15am, peaceful and quiet; just the tick of the clock could be heard
JACOB is partially asleep on the bed, turns restlessly. A young man in his late 20s, energetic, timid, and relentless. Seems he had a rough day, looks exhausted. Putting on his PJ trouser and singlet. Lying beside him is his wife ‘ELLA’, she’s fast asleep.
A loud bang frightens him from his sleep; he sits up quickly and stares around for a moment, scared and suspicious of every corner. All peaceful and quiet, just the tick of the clock could be heard. He breathes a sigh of relief and lies down
Another loud bang, seems to be from somewhere in the house outside the room. He freezes in shock, turns towards the door slowly; he sits on the bed. Bang sound again! A chill wind rushes in through the window; he is frightened to the teeth
He stands up from the bed slowly, picks a flashlight on the ground besides the bed, puts it on and walks towards the door nervously
FEMALE VOICE
Jacob!
He startles, scrambles to hold the flashlight and regains himself, turns around and sees his wife looking at him. He shakes his head in discontent
ELLA
Where are you going?
JACOB
I heard noises down stares
ELLA
Be careful
She lies back; he nods his head in a yes sign and goes out of the room
INT. LIVING ROOM- NIGHT
CALIGINOUS; It seems they just moved in, mover boxes are all over the place, the furniture are covered with white cloth, the windows are without curtains
Jacob appears on the scene with his flashlight; he cautiously walks to the center of the living room and points around suspiciously. Relieve on his face as he notices nothing unusual. He walks into the kitchen through the doorway by the side of the staircase
INT. KITCHEN- NIGHT
Standing by the doorway, he points the flashlight blithely around the kitchen; he takes his leave, stops halfway, turns and looks out the kitchen window. He sees his shirt hung on the rope outside, he goes out through the back door in the kitchen and leaves the door wide open.
EXT. BACK YARD- NIGHT
Great in length but not width, about twenty meters between the house and the back fence; a rectangular back space; a rope for hanging clothes at the middle; Jacob’s shirt on it
He collects his shirt from the rope, the door slams close, a crow cries from nowhere, he startles, looks around in fear. A chill wind begins to blow, he runs to the door and tries to open it but to no avail, and he bangs it, jiggles the handle and forces it, still no avail
JACOB
Is anybody there…………Ella is that you!
Peeps through the window, points the flashlight through the window, a decaying face appears through the window suddenly, he startles and falls on the ground, picks up himself immediately and runs heading towards the left side, leaving the flashlight and his shirt behind.
The door opens slowly,
