Screenshots allegedly show Sony Xperia Z4 Dual SIM UI

Several screenshots allegedly taken on an Xperia Z4 Dual give us a peek at the new UI coming from Sony and confirm that the flagship will have a dual-SIM version. One screenshot shows a Qualcomm MSM8994 chipset, aka Snapdragon 810, and Android 5.0.2.
The interface sticks very close to Material Design though Sony still made some modifications.

Alleged Sony Xperia Z4 Dual screenshots
The Sony Xperia Z4 and Z4 dual are supposed to have a 5.2" 1080p or QHD screen, Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB of RAM, 21MP camera, waterproof body and stereo speakers. With such a concentration of leaks, we would be very surprised not to see the Xperia Z4 at the MWC in Barcelona (the Xperia Z4 Compact, Z4 Ultra and Z4 Tablet should also be unveiled sooner or later).

Sony could exit smartphone business in a bid to turn to profit

Sony might exit the smartphone market in a bid to become profitable once again. The Japanese tech giant’s CEO Kazuo Hurai announced at a press conference that Sony will no longer pursue sales growth in the highly competitive field.

Right in line with past reports, Mr. Hirai revealed that the company will consider a sale of its struggling smartphone and television businesses. However, there is no deal currently in the works.
Despite developing quality Android smartphones, Sony has struggled in the highly competitive smartphone field. The company has been sandwiched between rivals such as Apple and Samsung in the high end and the army of Chinese companies in the low end of the market.
The company aims to achieve an annual operating profit of $4.2 billion by 2018. That’s a 25-fold increase over its current financial performance.
Sony plans to turn to profit by investing in its already successful divisions. They include production and development of image sensors and the Sony PlayStation gaming business

Microsoft schedules MWC press conference for March 2

Following quite a few Android device makers, Microsoft has today announced that it too will hold a special press conference during MWC 2015 in Barcelona in March.
Specifically, the software giant will talk to the press on March 2 at 8.30 AM local time. That's one day after Samsung's big event, by the way.

Microsoft hasn't given us any information as to what exactly it will talk about, but it's safe to assume we're going to see some new phones getting unveiled.
However, it's unlikely that we'll see a new Windows Phone flagship device being introduced on this occasion, despite the very long amount of time that has passed since the previous high-end Lumia-branded smartphone was made official.
Obviously, Microsoft might surprise us, and unless it wants the Lumia brand to be associated just with low-end and midrange offerings, it probably should.
One handset which may be announced at MWC could be the successor to the Lumia 1320. It will probably be called Lumia 1330, and its specs were purportedly leaked back in December.

HTC One (M9) leaks out dressed in gold

ive photos of the upcoming HTC One (M9) made the rounds online yet again. This time around, the upcoming flagship from the Taiwanese manufacturer posed for the camera in gold color scheme.

Right in line with past leaks, the live photos once again allow us to catch a glimpse of the large squarish cutout for the handset’s camera. The latter is said to be a 20.7MP unit, coupled with a 4MP UltraPixel front-facing snapper.
Furthermore, the latest batch of leaked photos reveal the inside of the device’s machined metal body. The grey bits we see are reserved for the smartphone’s wireless antennas.

HTC One (M9) will make its official debut in less than a month, on March 1 in Barcelona. Two variants of the flagship are expected - One (M9) and One (M9) Plus. Both variants will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
